On March 6, 2026, powerful tornadoes tore through southwest Michigan, devastating small communities of Edwardsburg, Three Rivers, and Union City. In the following weeks, spring storms continued to tear through Illinois and Oklahoma.

Homes were torn apart. Trees crashed into buildings. Debris now covers neighbourhoods where families once felt safe. Local officials report that four people lost their lives, and many others were injured. 

Throughout the spring, severe weather impacted communities across North America. Our World Renew Disaster Response Services team is walking alongside affected communities in Michigan and elsewhere to help restore hope and clean up after these disasters.
