World Renew was pleased to participate in the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH) Global Health Impact Summit, held May 6–7, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. Centered on the theme “Data that speaks: Harnessing qualitative insights for global health and gender equality,” the summit brought together practitioners and leaders to explore how meaningful data can strengthen impact and accountability.
Global health and gender insights
Throughout the event, World Renew staff engaged in conversations around qualitative measurement, research, and evaluation. These discussions examined how stories, lived experiences, and community voices can deepen understanding across diverse community health contexts and global gender equality work.
On the summit’s final day, Patrick Atandi and Nancy Tenbroek participated in a featured session titled “Catalyzing community change: Advancing youth SRHR in Bangladesh through the People’s Institution (PI) model.”
Youth engagement in Bangladesh
During the session, they highlighted World Renew’s work in Bangladesh, sharing how community-led approaches are helping to advance learning, awareness, and empowerment for youth, particularly teens at risk of early marriage.
