Severe storms and tornadoes over the last week have devastated communities across the Midwest. The outbreak of tornadoes—with wind speeds up to 165 mph—affected communities in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa, resulting in the loss of five lives and damaging or completely destroying homes.
Midwest Tornado Response Efforts Underway
As government officials and volunteer organizations—including World Renew Disaster Response Services (DRS)—coordinate recovery and rebuilding efforts, we are offering our skills and expertise to help those most in need.
With existing partnerships in the region, World Renew DRS is poised to support Midwest tornado response efforts through volunteer clean-up services that help homeowners clear debris, tarp roofs, and address other immediate needs. We are also monitoring storm damage to assess how best we can support survivors over the long term.
Supporting Recovery After Midwest Tornadoes
World Renew DRS is also working in other areas affected by severe storms and tornadoes this spring and early summer. Read more about our response to flooding in Iowa.
Your donation today means we can help families find hope and rebuild their homes.
Please pray for families already living in the aftermath of extreme weather, that they would remain safe as they begin the rebuilding process.
Thank you for sharing Christ’s love and helping support Midwest tornado response efforts in communities devastated by these storms.
