World Renew was also named one of Charity Intelligence’s Top 100 Rated Charities for 2025, recognizing organizations that demonstrate strong financial management and meaningful impact.

Among more than 85,000 registered charities in Canada, World Renew received high marks across Charity Intelligence’s independent evaluation metrics, including:

  • A+ Financial Transparency
  • B Results Reporting
  • High Demonstrated Impact
  • 77% Cents to the Cause
  • 5-Star Overall Rating

This rating reflects World Renew’s continuing focus on openly sharing financial information and program results while delivering meaningful impact through its international development and humanitarian assistance programs.

Peter Timmerman, executive director of World Renew Canada shared:

“Charity Intelligence Canada provides donors with an independent, third-party analysis of the financial integrity and overall impact of charities across the sector. This provides one form of reassurance that their gifts are being managed responsibly and are making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable communities.

We are grateful to God for his continued guidance and for the trust of our supporters. That trust is something we value deeply, and we remain committed to being accountable for every dollar entrusted to us with transparency, care, and stewardship. We encourage our donors to review third party analyses such as Charity Intelligence Canada and to also consider other factors such as our Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) accreditation.”

A commitment to transparency and stewardship

Charity Intelligence Canada evaluates charities based on publicly available information, including audited financial statements, annual reports, program outcomes, and organizational transparency. World Renew continues to provide comprehensive reporting through its website and annual publications, enabling donors and stakeholders to understand both how funds are used and the impact they achieve.

World Renew’s A+ Financial Transparency rating demonstrates the organization’s commitment to making audited financial information readily available to the public, while its High Demonstrated Impact rating recognizes evidence that World Renew’s programs are producing meaningful results for communities around the world.

Charity Intelligence Canada also noted that World Renew maintains funding reserves within its reasonable range and follows activity-based accounting practices that clearly distinguish program, fundraising, and administrative expenses.

The organization’s 77% Cents to the Cause rating indicates that 77 cents of every donated dollar, after fundraising and administrative expenses, is directed toward program work that strengthens livelihoods, improves food security, responds to disasters, and equips communities to create lasting change.

World Renew was also recognized alongside several trusted humanitarian organizations in Charity Intelligence’s Top 100 Rated Charities list, including the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, of which World Renew is an implementing member, and the Humanitarian Coalition. This recognition highlights the strong accountability and impact demonstrated by organizations working together to address global poverty, hunger, and humanitarian crises.
