The Giving Tree fundraiser helps churches, schools, and groups turn generosity into meaningful gifts that support families around the world through the World Renew Gift Catalogue.

What is a Giving Tree?

The Giving Tree is a simple fundraising activity kit that uses printable gift ornaments to inspire giving. Participants select an ornament representing a Gift Catalogue item and make a donation to support that gift.

When donations are made, gifts are purchased locally in the countries where they will be used, equipping families and communities with the resources they need to thrive.

How to Start Your Fundraiser

Interested in starting a Giving Tree fundraiser with your group or church? Here are a few easy steps to help you get started:

Display Ornaments

Print the provided Giving Tree ornaments (or create your own) and add them to the Christmas tree displayed in your church, school, or home.

Select Your Gifts

Invite your group to select ornaments from the tree that represent the gifts they would like to give to a family experiencing need.

Place an Order

Gifts can be given by mail using the order form in our print gift catalogue, by calling our office, or by ordering through our online catalogue.

Creative Ways to Inspire Generosity

There are many ways to use these materials. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Host a Dinner

Plan a fundraising Christmas (or other holiday) dinner and use the proceeds to “buy” giving tree ornaments or gifts from the World Renew Gift Catalogue.

Support One Item

Choose one or more items from the catalogue and then set a goal and raise funds during one special month of the year.

Share the Catalogue

Distribute two World Renew Gift Catalogues to each member of your group, school, or church, one copy to use themselves and one to share with a friend or acquaintance.

Thanksgiving Offering

Distribute catalogues to each member of your church or group before Thanksgiving and then take a Thanksgiving Day offering to collect the gifts and order forms.

Beyond Christmas

Encourage gift giving from the catalogue on occasions other than Christmas, such as Easter, a birthday, or an anniversary.
